Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent — a time for repentance, reflection, and remembering our need for God’s grace. As we receive the ashes, we’re reminded of both our mortality (“from dust you came…”) and the mercy we have in Christ through the gospel. This year, Cross & Crown will be joining The Porch for a shared Ash Wednesday service as a way to begin the season together in prayer and worship.

The service will be held in North Beach at The Porch (756 Union Street). There is usually plenty of street parking in the neighborhood, along with two nearby parking lots at 766 Vallejo Street and 735 Vallejo Street. If parking cost is a concern, we’ll have envelopes available with $15 to help — we’d hate for you to miss out because of parking.
